Albert Avery, a former member of the 3rd Hampshire Regiment (Militia) enlisted at Winchester on 30 January 1900, aged 18 years, 1 month. Posted to the 12th Lancers, he served in South Africa, March-September 1901. Returning home, he was discharged medically unfit on 17 October 1903.
With copied service papers and roll extract.
