Medals, Jamaica, The Jamaica Preceptory, 1909, a Founders jewel by Spencer & Co, silver and enamel cross with applied central shield of a red cross, set with five pineapples, on white, hallmarked Birmingham 1910, 46 x 39mm (Roehrs 1571). Extremely fine, rare, with tattered ribbon and Founder clasp; in case of issue £150-200

Provenance: Bt H. Christensen.

The founder and first preceptor was the Worshipful Brother the Revd Francis Bavin, District Grand Chaplain of Craft and Mark Freemasons. The Roehrs specimen was sold with a letter from Brandon detailing some background history and suggesting the Lodge would have had between 8 and 15 founding members
