Military General Service 1793-1814, 1 clasp, Barrosa (A. W. Holscher, Asst. Surgn. 2nd Hussars K.G.L.) medal sometime mounted and since reconstituted with replacement suspension, scratching and edge bruising, therefore good fine £300-400

Achatz William Holscher M.D. was appointed Assistant Surgeon in the 2nd Hussars K.G.L. on 19 April 1806. He served with the Baltic expedition in 1807; the expedition to the Scheldt in 1809; in the Peninsula 1810-13; in the Netherlands in 1814, and the campaign of 1815. He was not present at Waterloo and was placed on the Half Pay list on 24 February 1816. His M.G.S. medal is one of only two to officers of the regiment.
