William George Roskilly was born in Stonehouse, Plymouth on 10 August 1858 and enlisted into the Navy as a Domestic 3rd Class on 1 November 1876. Appointed an Assistant Sick Berth Attendant in 1880 he attained the rank of Chief Sick Berth Steward (Wardmaster) in 1897. He was dischaged with a pension on 24 February 1899. Sold with copied service paper.
