John Pearson was born in Kircaldy, Fife on 15 November 1869. Entering the Royal Navy in March 1891, he attained the rate of Chief Engine Room Artificer 1st Class in March 1907. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1906 at Tamar (Hong Kong) and pensioned in March 1913. Recalled in 1914, he served on the seaplane carrier Hermes until she was sunk by submarine in the English Channel, 30 October 1914. Appointed an Artificer Engineer in July 1918. Entitled to a 1914-15 Star trio.

Ernest Elliott was born in Morice Town, Devonport on 31 May 1869. Entering the Royal Navy in April 1892, he attained the rank of C.E.R.A. 2nd Class in March 1902. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1907. He died in an accident on board the armoured cruiser
Aboukir on 6 June 1907.

John Locke Maxwell was born in Boston, Lincolnshire on 18 February 1868. Entering the Royal Navy in November 1890, he attained the rank of C.E.R.A. 1st Class in October 1907. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1907 on the armoured cruiser
Good Hope. Pensioned in May 1914 but recalled in August, he served on the light cruiser Caroline, December 1914-September 1916, seeing service at Jutland. Demobilised in February 1919.
