Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R., narrow suspension (Thos. Lee, Chf. Eng. Rm. Artifr., H.M.S. Linnet) impressed naming, good very fine £80-100

Thomas Lee was born in Manchester on 8 March 1851. Entering the Royal Navy in September 1874, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer in July 1885 when on Agincourt. Served on Boadicea, September-October 1879 and Forester, September 1879-January 1882 but name not recorded in the published South Africa Medal roll. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1887 when on the gunboat Linnet. Pensioned in January 1895. The 1911 Census records him as Caretaker of R.N. Prison, Lewes.
