Thomas Patrick Foy was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, on 16 December 1897. A Farm Hand by occupation, he enlisted into the 77th Battalion at Ottawa in November 1915, but had transferred to the 87th Battalion (Canadian Grenadier Guards) by the time of his death in action during the battle of the Regina Trench on the Somme on 21 October 1916. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial; sold with copied service papers.
