Harry Ridgewell was born in Finchinfield, Essex, England, in August 1887. Living in Star City and employed as a Farmer, he attested for the 188th (Saskatchewan) Battalion at Melfort in February 1916, and arrived in England in the S.S.
Olympic in October 1916. Taken on to the strength of the 28th (North West) Battalion that December 1916, he suffered from gas poisoning on 8 September 1918, shortly after being awarded the M.M.; sold with copied service papers.
