Edward Montague Burrows was born in Guildford. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the South Wales Borderers at Leeds on 29 December 1899, aged 18 years. He served with the 2nd Battalion in South Africa, October 1900-June 1904. He was discharged having completed his period of service on 28 November 1911. With copied service papers and roll extracts.
