James VI (1567-1625), Four Pounds or Hat piece, 1593, mm. cinquefoil, 4.30g/4h (SCBI 35, 1157-8; B 4 or 5; S 5457). Dagger pierced near top, otherwise obverse nearly very fine, reverse smoothed and fine only, very rare (£1,500-2,000)
