Aberdeen, Denton’s Halfpenny, 1797, ancient fortress, rev. JB cypher, edge plain, 7.13g/6h (DH 1; Brodie 134). Struck over an imitation ‘Shakespeare’ Halfpenny dated 1790 [DH Warwickshire 327f], extremely fine with a little original colour, very rare (£250-300)
