Thomas Wyon Sr (1767-1830), die and seal engraver, 2 Temple street and later at Lionel street in partnership with his brother Peter (†1822) until 1800. Thomas then moved to London where he was in business at 20 John street, Southwark, then from 1818 successively at Regent street, Vauxhall walk, Lambeth and Nassau street, Soho [now Gerrard place]. He was appointed chief engraver of the King’s Seals in 1816 (Hawkins pp.113-14)
