DH 6 only illustrated. Peter Kempson (1755-1824), buttonmaker, St Mary’s row and, by 1795, in Little Charles street, a prolific manufacturer of trade tokens for some 58 customers (Dykes, BNJ 2004, pp.168-70). The initials jk on the second token may refer to James Kempson, the issuer’s father (Hawkins, p.35)
