Coalbrook Dale, Reynolds & Co, Halfpence, 1792 (5), lamps on bridge with dual supports (3), 12.66g/6h (DH 10), 14.63g/12h (DH 14), 12.56g/12h (DH 15); lamps with single supports (2), 13.17g/12h (DH 16), 13.54g/12h (DH 17) [5]. DH 15 about extremely fine, DH 16 very fine, others all extremely fine, first and last with considerable original colour (£70-90)

Reynolds & Co, trading as the Coalbrook-Dale Iron Co, proprietors Richard Reynolds (†September 1816, aged 81), his sons William (†June 1803, aged 45) and Joseph. The inclined plane at Ketley, completed in 1788 and the brainchild of William Reynolds, enabled his iron foundry at Ketley to use iron ore and coal from the mines at Oakengates, transported direct to the foundry by canal; the Ketley works closed in 1816 and the inclined plane two years later. After the death of William, who lived at Bank House, Ketley, his father left Coalbrookdale for Bristol, where from 1804 to 1816 he carried out numerous acts of benevolence among the poor of that city
