Wyon Jr, similar, old england legend, 33mm, 10.33g/6h (DH 211; Hawkins 11); unsigned, small bust three-quarters left, rev. may britain still flourish, etc, 34mm, 11.03g/12h (DH 213 bis I; BHM 328) [3]. DH 211 extremely fine with much original brilliance, DH 213 good very fine, last with scratch in obverse field but very fine and very rare (£80-100)

Last only illustrated. William Pitt the Younger (1759-1806), politician and statesman, called to the Bar 1780, MP for Appleby 1781, who became Britain’s youngest Prime Minister in 1783 at the age of 24. He resigned the premiership in 1801 because of regal opposition to the emancipation of Catholics. In May 1804 he returned to lead the country, but his health failed and he died in office in January 1806
