Taylor’s Halfpenny for William Till, man hanging from gallows, demon seated on top bar smoking a pipe, rev. man and monkey, each dancing on one leg, edge plain, 12.50g/12h (DH 836). Usual rust spots both sides, otherwise extremely fine, reverse with rainbow hue, rare (£100-150)

Fawcett/Litman Collection.

The originals were made by W.J. Taylor for the coin dealer William Till,
