West Smithfield, Matthew Denton, Farthing, 1795, 3.97g/6h (DH 1053); mule Farthings (5), denton dealer, etc (3), revs. crown, 4.03g/6h (DH 1054), ship, 3.85g/6h (DH 1055), deformed dwarf, 3.73g/6h (DH 1056); busts vis-à-vis (2), revs. deformed dwarf, 3.93g/12h (DH 1057), Prince of Wales’ feathers, 3.90g/6h (DH 1058); Richard Harrison, Denton’s Farthing, 1797, 3.92g/6h (DH 1059; Storer 3940) [7]. All extremely fine with much original colour, especially DH 1057, an attractive group (£150-200)

Virtuoso’s Companion and Coin Collector’s Guide. Richard Harrison, brewer, 64 Long lane, West Smithfield; the real significance of the legend on the token referring to hairdressing and dentistry is now unknown
