Strand, J. and Gilbert Pidcock, Farthings (12), elephant, the James-signed die (7), revs. lion and dog, 3.16g/6h (DH 1064), two-headed cow (3), edge grained (2), thick flan, 5.95g/6h, thin flan, 2.72g/6h (both DH 1065), edge plain, 6.19g/5h (DH 1065a), cockatoo (2), edge grained, 3.41g/6h (DH 1067), edge plain, 2.96g/6h (DH 1067a), pelican, 3.36g/8h (DH 1068); elephant, unsigned die, rev. two-headed cow, 3.04g/12h (DH 1066); lion and dog (2), revs. beaver, 3.57g/4h (DH 1069), monkey, 3.81g/6h (DH 1070); beaver, rev. pelican, 3.31g/6h (DH 1072); monkey, rev. pelican, 3.67g/6h (DH 1073) [12]. DH 1065 on thin flan good fine, 1065a very fine and very rare, others generally about extremely fine and better, several with original colour, a good run of this series (£140-180)
