Charles Biggar, coffee-house proprietor and hotelier, declared bankrupt 1797. Philip Astley, showman and proprietor of an amphitheatre in Westminster Bridge road, which was badly damaged by fire in 1794; while it was being repaired he rented the Lyceum for his performances (Bell, 1966, p.201). William Forster, musical instrument maker and coin collector, 348 Strand; his coin collection was auctioned in February 1817. J.A. and S.A.
