Middlesex [City of London], Fetter Lane, John Milton, Penny, 1800, in white metal, female personifying Science seated on globe bearing zodiacal sign, rev. Bellerophon holding Pegasus, figure crawling up rock face in background, edge plain, 15.27g/12h (DH 36; Stainton 43). From the usual flawed and uncompleted reverse die, rust marks both sides, test marks on edge, a little surface discolouration and a couple of specks of tin pest, otherwise good very fine, extremely rare £350-400
