Provenance: From a 19th century collection; Spink Auction 92, 9 June 1992, lot 5; W.J. Noble Collection, Part I, Noble Numismatics Auction 58B (Melbourne), 7-8 July 1998, lot 16; R.S. Brown Jr Collection, Part I, DNW Auction T7, 7 October 2009, lot 16 [from A. Davisson September 1998].

The Davisson ticket with this coin alludes to it once being in the Hamer and Waite-Sanderson collections, which is unproven and perhaps a confusion with the provenance to lot 14 in the R.S. Brown Jr Collection
