Double Island Issues, Tortola-Tortola, Quarter-Dollar, MEXICO, a cut quarter segment of an 8 Réales, Mexico City, assayer fm, obv. countermarked [tir]tila raised within a shaped indent [type II, the segment cut from a previously countermarked cut half], rev. countermarked tirtila raised within a shaped indent [type III], 5.78g/89.2 gr (Prid. 52, this coin [Sale, lot 248, this coin]). Coin worn nearly smooth and with a small edge split, countermarks fine or better, extremely rare and most unusual £400-500
