William Henry Warder Hine served as a Trooper in Royston’s Horse during the Natal Rebellion 1906. As a Lieutenant in the Sherwood Foresters he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 29 August 1915. Serving with the the 12th Battalion (Pioneers) he was advanced to Captain in March 1916 and to Major in August 1918. Awarded the M.C. as Temporary Captain. With copied research.
