Hugh Worgan Ogden Bradley was born on 5 January 1920 and was commissioned into the Grenadier Guards on 3 July 1939. Promoted Lieutenant in January 1941, he held the ranks of Acting Captain during May-July 1942 and Temporary Captain during August 1942 - December 1945. Promoted War Substantive Captain in December 1945, he held the ranks of Acting Major during September-December 1945. he was appointed Temporary Major in December 1945 and Major in July 1952. Bradley is mentioned in a regimental history as leading a company of Grendier Guards in the operations to re-occupy the Kasserine Pass. A label with the goup reads, ‘Wounded in action in North Africa’.
