Frederick Warwick, who was born in Leamington Spa in February 1893, was an early R.F.C. entrant, joining in September 1912, when he was allocated ‘No. 368’. An Air Mechanic 1st Class by the outbreak of hostilities, he served out in France and Flanders as a Sergeant in No. 12 Squadron from September 1915 until January 1916, and in No. 58 Squadron from January to October 1918. Transferred to the Reserve, Warwick re-enlisted and was still serving at the renewal of hostilities in September 1939, as a Warrant Officer in No. 240 Squadron. Having then served in West Africa for six months, he was discharged in November 1944. Warwick died in September 1968; accompanying research refers.
