Ernest George Randall was decorated for his services as an Emergency Repair Overseer (Inspector of Engine Fitters) for the Admiralty, his Imperial Service Medal being granted for like services as an Assistant Overseer Grade 1 at the Admiralty’s out-station at Newcastle-on-Tyne (London Gazette 12 January 1945 refers).
