Egypt and Sudan 1882-89
, undated reverse, 1 clasp, The Nile 1884-85 (Coxn. 1 Cl.); Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R., narrow suspension (Qr. Mr., H.M.S. Britannia), impressed naming; Khedive’s Star , 1884-86, the first and the last generally very fine or better, but the second with refurbished suspension and signs of old brooch-mounting with resultant damage to obverse and reverse fields, thus fine (3) £150-200

Andrew Stephens was born at Plynt, Cornwall in February 1852 and entered the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class in February 1868. Awarded his L.S. & G.C. Medal in March 1880, he went on to witness active service in the Egypt operations of 1885 when he was detached from the crew of H.M.S. Monarch for service in the Nile Flotilla. He was finally pensioned ashore in February 1890.
