John Parry, who was born in Bangor in June 1890, served aboard the S.S. Seythia between May 1940 and April 1942, and latterly in the hospital ship Elder Dempster. He died back in his hometown in October 1945, and his medals were claimed by his widow Ceinwen in 1950.
