Henry Pearson Jamieson was born in Govan, lived in Glasgow and enlisted at Govanhill, Lanarkshire. Serving in the 5th (Service) Battalion Cameron Highlanders, he entered France on 10 May 1915. He was killed in action on the first day of the battle of Loos, 25 September 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
