Indian Army Buttons. A carded display of 76 items. Pre-Mutiny examples comprise 2 officers' large gilt coatees to the 3rd Bengal NI and 3 officers' small gilt coatees to the 59th Bengal NI and 24th Bengal NI (2). Other officers' large gilts comprise 36th Madras (mounted), 10th Madras, 12th Bengal, 14th Madras, Bombay Staff Corps, Bengal Staff Corps, The Hyderabad Contingent, Bengal Engineers, 39th Bengal (disbanded 1890), Madras Staff Corps, 26th Sikhs (KC), 119th Infantry, Madras Governor's Band, 10th Bengal (1861 - 1903 gilt rubbed).  Officers' small gilts include 2nd Madras (2), Bengal Artillery, 35th Sikhs, 13th Bombay, 26th Sikhs (KC), 10th Bengal, Madras Staff Corps (2), 126th Baluchistan Infantry. White metal tunics include Bombay Volunteer Rifles (KC), Bangalore Rifle Volunteers, Sirmoor Valley Light Horse, Assam Valley Light Horse, 51st Sikhs F.F., Kolar Gold Field Volunteers (KC), Upper Burma Volunteers, 16th Cavalry (KC). An officer's rare large black horn example to the 71st Coorg Rifles (1902 - 04 only), black horn example to the Kumaon Rifles (small).  A selection of items to His Highness the Nizam of Hyderabad Forces. Together with a brief printed history of the Kolar Gold Field Battalion with an accompanying letter to the then Mrs. Low from Major H.G. Parkyn dated 23.1.1951 and another letter to Mrs. Low from Hubert E. Jeffery dated 15.1.1951 concerning the Kolar Gold Fields History, very good overall condition (79) £300-500
