Royal Horse Artillery, the important Field Service Cap of the late Major John Wainwright Hopkins, the cap in navy blue and scarlet cloth, the curtain and crown embellished with gold cord, two small gilt KC buttons to the front, the large cap badge of padded format in gold thread, crimson velvet, blue silk and red cloth shows the KC over the Garter Motto enclosing GVIR below a scroll ‘Royal Horse Artillery’ original trade label for ‘Hawkes Co. Ltd. 1 Savile Row London W1’ and named ‘Capt JW Hopkins’, externally very fine condition some service wear to the interior £150-200
