Roman Imperial Coinage, Magnus Maximus (383-388), Miliarensis, Trier, d n mag max-imvs pf avg, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. virtvs exercitvs, Emperor standing left in military attire, holding standard (with small spur to left) and shield, tr ps in exergue, 4.40g/5h (Ghey 11, this coin; Hoxne 74; RIC IX p.29, 82; RSC 19a). Good very fine, well-centred, toned and rare £1,500–£1,800
