Edwin Hayman joined the Metropolitan Police on 5 May 1882 and retired on 5 April 1909. During his service he was stationed at ‘D’ Division (Molyneux Street, Marylebone Lane), ‘G’ Division (King’s Cross Road, Old Street & Hoxton) and ‘B’ Division (Rochester Row, Gerald Road, Walton Road & Grosvenor Road). Hayman was probably a Special Constable in the Second World War and the group represents some 60 years uniform service.
