Thomas H. Baker attested for the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry at Fort Tregantle, Devonport, on 7 July 1888, and served with the wing of the 1st Battalion as part of the Wuntho Field Force, under Brigadier-General Garnett Wolseley, in Burma in 1891.
