Morayshire Constabulary Hat Badge and Other Police Insignia.
The first in die-stamped white metal shows the Imperial crown over a strap, ‘Morayshire Constabulary’, two lug fasteners (JCGp154), (
the orb & cross missing, the crown re-affixed with solder and a backing plate and similar to the strap finial). A plated white metal ‘DCC’ badge, the letters with decoration, two lug fasteners, a small chromed Special Constable’s collar, a chromed s/title ‘WAPC’ (Women’s Auxiliary Police Corps), a chrome and enamelled lapel badge ‘P.A.M.S’ (Police Auxiliary Messenger Service), a chromed rank star. A diced black/white linen hat band. Together with a die-cast bronzed pouch belt plate for the Edinburgh Volunteer Rifle Corps c1860, Edinburgh Castle on a domed ground within a circle, ‘Nisi Dominus Frustra’, two integral pierced lug fasteners, good condition except where stated (8) £100-£140
