The only man of 6/1st Scottish Division R.A. present at Kirbekan.

Gunner Robert Southwell appears on an individual roll for the Nile and Kirbekan, signed by Lieutenant-Colonel F. G. Slade, late Chief of Intelligence Department, River Column, Nile Field Force. In a note at the bottom of the roll he states, ‘This man was my servant, and was in the zareeba (sic) during the action of Kirbekan.’ Sold with relevant copy of the roll.
