Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (Edward William Johnson) pierced at 12 o’clock, otherwise generally very fine £30-50

Relevant 1914-18 War records reveal two possible recipients:

20558 Private Edward William Johnson, who was killed in action in Gallipoli on 13 August 1915, while serving in the 1st Battalion, Essex Regiment. His name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial.

M2-032188 Private Edward William Johnson, who was killed in action / died of wounds on 7 July 1917, while serving in 47th Auxiliary Ambulance Company, Army Service Corps. He is buried in the Abbeville Communal Cemetery Extension.
