Benjamin Heymer was born and lived at Old Windsor, Berkshire and enlisted at Oxford. He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 6 August 1915 whilst serving with the 2nd Battalion, Hampshire Regiment and his name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial.
