Christian Paul Marcus was born at Camberwell, lived at Upper Norwood and enlisted in London. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 13 November 1916 whilst serving with the 24th (Sportsman’s) Battalion, Royal Fusiliers and his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
