Efficiency Medal, G.VI.R., 1st issue, Territorial (1431644 Bdr. D. I. Mumford, R.A.) corrections to naming, extremely fine £50-70

Dudley Ivor Mumford was born on 5 April 1919. Living at ‘The Rectory’, Cransford, Near Woodbridge, Suffolk and a Salesman by occupation, he enlisted into the Army in September 1938. Serving with the Royal Artillery he was taken prisoner at the fall of Tobruk on 21 June 1942. He was held in Italian P.O.W. camps No.68, November 1942-January 1943, No.65, January-May 1943 and No.53, May-September 1953; after which he was held in the German camp Stalag IVB at Mühlberg, September 1943-April 1945. Sold with copied ex-P.O.W. questionnaire.
