George Ferguson Shepherd was born on 1 September 1885 and qualified as a L. & L.M. 1907, L.R.C.P.I. & L.M. 1907, D.P.H., R.C.P.S.I. 1910 and F.R.C.S.I. in 1910. During the Great War he was a Captain in the R.A.M.C.-T.F., and was a Surgeon Specialist in the Deccan British War Hospital and Poona and Indian Troops Hospital, Quetta. He was at various times a Surgeon and Lecturer at St. Hilda’s College and St. Hilda’s Division St. Johns Ambulance Association, Divisional Secretary (ex-Chairman) of the South Shields Division B.M.A., House Surgeon Richmond Hospital, Dublin and Resident Medical Officer, St. Edmondsbury Branch of St. Patrick’s Hospital, Dublin. Sold with some copied service details.
