Gunner George Arthur Bareham, 95th Battery, 48th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, R.A., died as a prisoner-of-war of the Japanese, at Jesselton, Borneo, on 14 January 1943, aged 39 years. He was buried in the Labuan War Cemetery. He was the son of George and Ellen Bareham of Great Clacton, Essex and husband of Louisa Daisy Mary Florence Bareham of Great Clacton. Sold with named condolence slip and card medal forwarding box addressed to Mrs L. D. Bareham, Harringay, Oakleigh Rd., Gt. Clacton, Essex’. Also with an extract from the ‘Java Index’ and other research.
