Six: Major G. L. G. Harry, Queen’s Regiment

British War and Victory Medals (Lieut.); Defence and War Medals; Efficiency Decoration, E.II.R., Territorial, rev. officially dated ‘1952’, mounted court style as worn; Worshipful Company of Distiller’s Livery Badge, by Vaughton & Sons, obv. Arms of the Company; rev. inscribed, ‘Guy Lionel Greville Harry, 18 January 1949’, 51mm., silver-gilt, hallmarks for Birmingham 1947, fitted with a loop suspension, with neck ribbon, in fitted case of issue, good very fine and better (6) £180-220

Guy Lionel Greville Harry served during 1915-18 as a Lieutenant in the 11th Queen’s Regiment, being released from service in 1920. In 1939 he rejoined as a Lieutenant in the Queen’s Regiment T.A. Reserve. Promoted a War Substantive Captain in 1941. Retired because of a disability on 19 April 1945 as an honorary Major. Awarded the Efficiency Decoration (London Gazette 19 February 1952).
