Paul Buzzard Norris was born on 29 January 1868 and first commissioned on 23 March 1889 into the Duke of Cornwal’s Light Infantry. During the Great War he commanded the 22nd (Service) Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers, from 28 July 1916, and served in France and Flanders from January 1916 until 24 July 1917.

Arthur Gambier Norris was born on 28 July 1864 and first commissioned on 5 July 1884 into the Royal Artillery.

Clifford Paul Norris was born on 28 July 1900 and first commissioned on 18 July 1919 into the Duke of Cornwal’s Light Infantry. See also lot 818 for other related family medals.
