Major Paul A. Slessor was commissioned in the rank of Lieutenant, 4 August 1914; promoted Captain, 1 June 1916 and granted a Brevet Majority, 1 January 1919. He was employed as Liaison Officer Inter-Allied Mission of Control in Germany from 10 September 1919 and was mentioned in despatches.
