City Imperial Volunteers, a khaki shoulder strap with red embroidered ‘CIV’, with a photcopy of the ID card to Gnr. P. H. Tacey (No 2078) HAC Battery, CIV Field Force S. Africa, slight mothing to the strap otherwise good condition £40-50

In 1900 a Horsed Battery was volunteered and accepted for service in the South African War and they became part of the CIV. P. H. Tacey was the father or uncle of the late Neville Tacey, a noted RA collector.
