Royal Regiment of Artillery, a fine and very rare officer’s die-stamped copper gilt shako plate 1812-16, crowned rococo plate with central oval strap ‘Royal Regt of Artillery’ enclosing the ‘GR’ cypher, at the base a mortar with two fused cannon balls above, four small attachment holes around the border (KK799), some gilt loss otherwise very good condition £600-800

This lot was sold as part of a special collection, The Collection of Artillery Insignia formed by the late Norman Litchfield.
