An original set of R.A.F. flying log books (3) and other documentation appertaining to Wing Commander E. L. J. B. Nicolson, and the third marked ‘No. 5’ and covering the period February 1944 to January 1958; together with an old exercise book, titled on the front cover in ink, “Brack’s Line Book”, in which is a typed account of his time at R.A.F. Lough Erne in early 1943, when he flew operationally on several occasions in Sunderlands, together with several related pasted-down photographs; a signed letter from the Inspector-General of the Polish Air Force, dated 15 September 1943, forwarding the ‘Badge of the Polish Eagle’ in recognition of Brakenbury’s work in training Poles in No. 25 Group; and a presentation miniature baton, most probably with silver fitments, contained in a display case with engraved plaque, ‘Wg./Cdr.
