Bevis Denton Davies, who was born in July 1922, was commissioned as a Pilot Officer in September 1942, having earlier served as a Production Officer in the Directorate of Aeroplane Production. Remaining in the Royal Air Force after the end of hostilities, he was advanced to Squadron Leader in July 1954, the year in which he was awarded his A.F.C., and was placed on the Retired List in July 1963, latterly having served on the Staff of the Directorate of Personnel Services.
