Douglas C. James, who first entered the French theatre of war as a Private in the 3rd Battalion, Monmouthshire Regiment in mid-February 1915, was awarded his T.E.M. in Army Order No. 53 of 1927. His MIC entry further reveals that he was latterly attached to the Royal Engineers in the Great War.
